First
Presbyterian Church - Boise, Idaho
A
4,000 s. f. addition to the three existing buildings, dating from
the 1920's, 1950's and 1960's. The new design incorporates an
existing courtyard, converting it into an essential gathering
space and administrative offices. An entry tower, exhibiting a
large Gothic window, now defines the main entry to the complex.
"...I
need to tell you how good I feel about our church and the
great job you have done for us. It certainly has not been
an easy project for you, or any of us for that matter I guess,
but as each new phase takes shape it becomes a part of the
old without looking like a tired old building with a new and
unrelated part. You are a creative lady with a real talent
for seeing the possibilities and making them happen.

"...It
was immediately apparent to the Building Committee for this
church that Libby Hill, principal with Arrowrock Architects,
had an elevated sensitivity to the design of Church facilities.
Her conceptual design and design detailing reflects a superior
understanding of the needs associated with church programming."
