Air Guard Fire Station - Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho

The 11,000 Sq. Ft. facility includes offices, dormitory, traiining classroom & apparatus bay for eight trucks of varying size. The design is popular among the base fire fighters and is recognized as a great improvement over their original facility. Special design perameters for quiet interior space and fast scramble to the tarmac were incorporated into the project. Acoustic assemblies with high soud transmission coeficients were implemented in all components of the building to block noise from air field jet engines.
